Stella was taken aback, and just as she was about to refute the assumption, Matthew interjected, “How did you guess that we’re a couple?”
He appeared nonchalant, but it made him a little happy.
The shop assistant was a little confused at the question, but she responded candidly, “She knew what kind of cake you’d like. Most of the time, couples understand each other even without words.”
Stella quickly waved her hand and clarified, “No, no. He’s actually my boss.”
